Indianapolis, Ind. -- For the second straight season, junior Miranda Castiglione has been named All-Horizon League First-Team in a vote by the league's head coaches, the league announced on Tuesday (May 5). Castiglione, the 2014 Horizon League Co-Player of the Year, became the first Youngstown State player to earn consecutive first-team accolades since Jordan Ingalls in 2011 and 2012. The only other players in school history named to the first-team in back-to-back seasons were McKenzie Bedra in 2007 and 2008 and Tiffany Patteson in 2003 and 2004.

Castiglione batted .349 with eight doubles, three triples, four home runs and 29 runs batted in. She also set the Youngstown State single-season record with 29 stolen bases. Against Horizon League opponents, Castiglione batted .349 with three home runs, 13 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.
