Basketball Seeks Sweep of Milwaukee Tonight at Beeghly

The Youngstown State men's basketball team will try to make it a season sweep when it hosts Horizon League foe Milwaukee, Friday, Feb. 15, at the Beeghly Center.
• Tipoff is set for 7:05 p.m., and the game can be heard on 570 WKBN-AM and iHeartRadio.
• The game can be viewed on the Horizon League Network.

Last Time Out
• The Penguins dropped a gut-wrenching 88-83 triple overtime decision to UIC on Feb. 10 at the Beeghly Center.
• Junior Kendrick Perry scored a game-high 29 points and made a 3-pointer with 0.1 seconds left to forced a second overtime period.
• Senior Blake Allen scored 16 points and became YSU's all-time leader with 202 3-pointers made.
• Junior Kamren Belin added 14 points with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Up Next
• The Penguins host Green Bay, Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2:05 p.m. at the Beeghly Center.

The Milwaukee Series
• This is the 33rd meeting between Youngstown State and Milwaukee in a series that dates back to 1972.
• The Panthers own a 24-8 advantage in the all-time series, but the Penguins have won the last three contests.
• Earlier this season, the Penguins defeated the Panthers, 75-72, at the Klotsche Center in Milwaukee, Wis., on Jan. 19.

Scouting Milwaukee
• Milwaukee is 6-20 overall and 2-10 in the Horizon League.
• The Panthers have lost seven of their last eight games and are 0-5 on the road against Horizon League foes.
• Jordan Aaron leads the Panthers with 14 points per game while Paris Gulley is averaging 13.7 points per game.

A Win Will
• Improve YSU to 15-11 overall on the year.
• Improve YSU to 7-6 in the Horizon League.
• Mark the second straight season YSU has won at least 15 games.
• Mark YSU's ninth win over Milwaukee.
• Mark YSU's fourth consecutive win over the Panthers.
• Mark YSU's ninth home win of the season.
• Mark Head Coach Jerry Slocum's 670th career victory and his 89th at Youngstown State.
• Mark YSU's 1,023rd victory in the program's history.

Allen Sets 3's Mark
• With five 3-pointers against UIC on Feb. 10, senior Blake Allen set the Youngstown State career 3-pointers made record.
• Allen has made 202 career 3's in three years and broke the record of 198 set by Craig Haese from 1997-2001.
• Allen ranks second in the Horizon League with 64 3-pointers and 2.6 3-pointers made per game.

KP Now 19th
• With 1,206 career points, junior Kendrick Perry ranks 19th on the YSU all-time scoring list.
• Perry needs just 50 more points to move into 18th place.
• He needs 94 more to become 17th YSU player to score 1,300 career points.
• In his 86-game career, Perry has a scoring average of 14 points per game.

Eargle Nearing 1,000 at YSU
• The 1,000-point countdown for senior Damian Eargle has officially started.
• Eargle needs just 21 more points to become the 34th player in school history to score 1,000 points.
• Eargle has scored 979 points, including 296 this season, in his three-year career at Youngstown State.
• Including his 268 points at UNCG in 2008-09, Eargle has scored 1,247 points in his collegiate career.
• He would become the only player in school history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 250 blocks.

KP - 20/20 Vision
• With 29 points against UIC on Feb. 10, junior Kendrick Perry recorded his seventh 20-point performance this season.
• Perry, who has 17 career 20-point games, also had 22 against Detroit (2/1), and 28 against Valparaiso (1/30).
• Youngstown State is 2-5 when Perry has scored at least 20 points this year.
• Over the last eight games, Perry is averaging 17.4 points per game.

OT Not Penguin Friendly
• The Penguins have had three overtime games during this season and are 0-3 in those games.
• YSU's recent 88-83 triple overtime loss to UIC on Feb. 10 was just the third time in school history the Penguins played a game with three extra periods.
• YSU owns a 1-2 record in those games.
• The Penguins also lost overtime games to North Dakota State (83-80) on Nov. 19 and Kent State (85-78) on Nov. 28.

Streaks Snapped
• Two Penguins had streaks snapped after the triple overtime loss to UIC on Feb. 10.
• Senior Damian Eargle had a 26-game blocked shot streak snapped.
• That streak dated back to the final two games of last season.
• Junior Kendrick Perry saw his 13 consecutive games with a steal streak end against the Flames as well.

"ARC"-hitects
• Youngstown State made a season-high 13 3-pointers against UIC on Feb. 10.
• It also marks the second time this season the Penguins made at least 10 3-pointers in game.
• The only other time YSU made at least 10 3's was against Detroit on Feb. 1 with 11 3-pointers.
• Last season, the Penguins made 10-or-more 3's in a game on 10 occasions.

Belin is Booming
• Over the last eight games, junior forward Kamren Belin has been one of the Penguins' most consistent players.
• Belin has averaged 15.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
• He has connected on 46 percent from the floor, 48 percent from the 3-point line and 74 percent from the free-throw line.
• He is also averaging 3.0 3-pointers made per game during that span.

Eargle Approaching 300 Blocks
• Senior Damian Eargle has the chance to become the only player in YSU and Horizon League history to record 300 blocks.
• Eargle has 289 blocked shots, which are the YSU and Horizon League career records.
• Counting his 57 blocks at UNC-Greensboro, Eargle has reached 346 blocked shots for his entire college career.

Kam Craves League Play
• Junior Kamren Belin is making a case for an All-Newcomer Team selection.
• Belin is averaging 13 points and 4.4 rebounds per game and shooting 44 percent from the field and the 3-point line in league play.
• Against league opponents, Belin ranks second in 3-point percentage (.460), third in 3-pointers made (29) and 3-pointers made per game (2.4) and 13th in scoring.
• Belin ranks second among league newcomers in scoring with 13.0 points per game in league-only games.
• Belin has scored in double figures in eight straight and has at least 14 points in five of the last eight games.
