Katie Montgomery Tallied Nine Saves in 3-0 Loss at Wright State

Dayton, Ohio -- Junior goalkeeper Katie Montgomery collected nine saves but the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 loss to Horizon League foe Wright State on Saturday afternoon.

The Penguins fall to 5-10 overall and 0-6 in the Horizon League while the Raiders improve to 5-7-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the league.

The Raiders scored all three goals in the first half. Bryce Hueber scored twice at the 22:51 and 32:12 marks of the first stanza.

Savannah Carmosino gave the Raiders a 3-0 advantage when her corner kick was deflected into the goal at the 37:02 mark.

Tyesha Kizer took four of the Penguins' 10 shots, but Wright State out-shot the YSU, 21-10, including a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal.

The Penguins return home to host Detroit, Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
