South Dakota State overpowers Youngstown State 38-8
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Taryn Christion scored two touchdowns, Kyle Paris had two more and South Dakota State overpowered Youngstown State for a 38-8 win on Saturday.

Christion was held to 122 yards passing but added 75 more on the ground, including a 70-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Paris had 128 yards on 27 carries, including TD runs from the 20 and 4. Also scoring for South Dakota State (5-1, 2-1 Missouri Valley) was Brady Mengarelli, who had a 4-yard touchdown run, and Jay Carlson with a 37-yard field goal as the Jackrabbits extended the series record to 11-6 over the Penguins.

Youngstown State (3-3, 1-2) was held to just 278 total yards, had two turnovers and never got a touchdown. Zak Kennedy kicked 23- and 40-yard field goals and the Penguins defense tackled Mengarelli in the Jackrabbits end zone for a safety.
