Nick Liste Named MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week
St. Louis, Mo. - Youngstown State senior punter Nick Liste was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced on Sunday.

Liste continued his strong start to the season averaging 50.9 yards per punt on seven kicks in the defeat at Michigan State. Against the Spartans, Liste had punts of 62, 55, 53, 52, 50, 48 and 46 yards in the contest.

He also had four kickoffs, two of which were touchbacks.

Through three games, Liste is averaging 49.6 yards per punt. He has nine kicks of 50 yards or more this season. He leads all of Division I (FBS and FCS) in average through three games.

Other MVFC honorees on Sunday include RB Vernon Scott of Missouri State and QB Mike Perish of Indiana State (co-Offense) and LB Dallas Brown of South Dakota State (Defense/Newcomer).

The Penguins (2-1) return home to take on Duquesne on Saturday at Stambaugh Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
