Penguins Finish Eighth at Hawk Flight Invite

The Youngstown State women's bowling team dropped its three matches in bracket play on Sunday and finished Monmouth's Hawk Flight Invite in eighth place. The tournament was held at King Pin Bowl Entertainment Center in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.

The Penguins began the day in sixth place and lost their best-of-seven Baker games opener to No. 5 Vanderbilt in four games. YSU then fell in 4-2 to No. 15 St. Francis Brooklyn, and it lost its final match in four games to No. 16 LIU Brooklyn. Youngstown State's highest game of the day was a 235 in game three against St. Francis Brooklyn.

Youngstown State's final tournament of the regular season will be the Music City Classic beginning March 17. Vanderbilt will host that tournament in Smyrna, Tenn.
