The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches falling to Toledo 4-3 on Saturday after a 6-1 setback at Pittsburgh on Friday.

The Guins hung tough against the Rockets on Saturday splitting the six singles matches after dropping the double point. Against the Panthers, Ana Stroe picked up the lone singles victory for the Penguins.

Against Toledo, Sofia Macias picked up a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3, Nehel Sahni earned a hard-fought 6-2, 5-7, 7-5 win at No. 4 and Victoria Ferry picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6. 

At Pitt, Stroe picked up a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 5 for the Penguins' point in the dual match.

YSU returns to the court on Feb. 12 when it takes on Idaho in Las Vegas.
