Dosch Repeats as Academic All-District Honoree
Youngstown -- Youngstown State junior third baseman Drew Dosch has been voted Capital One Academic All-District for the second straight year for his combined performance on the baseball field and in the classroom, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.

Dosch advances to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot with hopes of earning national accolades for the second time in his career. Dosch, a native of Canal Winchester, Ohio, was a Second-Team Academic All-America pick last year.

Dosch, an integrated social studies education major with a 3.96 grade-point average, is the lone Horizon League baseball player to earn Academic All-District accolades.

Dosch has been the Horizon League Batter of the Week twice this season, and he was the conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Month in March. The league's preseason player of the year leads the conference in runs scored, doubles, total bases and walks, and he ranks in the top 10 in almost every offensive category.

Dosch is the third Penguin to earn CoSIDA Academic-All District honors during this academic year, joining Torrian Pace (football) and Brandi Brown (women's basketball).
