Hamilton is a member of the cross country team for the third time in her career while Pompeo and Hundelt are earning their second all-league academic honor. For Rupe and Ludwig, it is their initial time on the academic all-league team.
Hamilton, a senior from North Jackson, Ohio, joins Emily Cicero as the only three-time honoree in YSU women's cross country history. Hamilton finished fourth at the Horizon League Championships in November and owns a 3.73 grade-point average in exercise science.
Pompeo, a senior from Poland, Ohio, led the Penguins at the Horizon League meet with a second-place finish. Pompeo, an academic all-league honoree in 2011, owns a 3.92 GPA as a general studies major.
Hundelt, a senior from St. Charles, Mo., was a first-team all-conference pick in 2012 but had her final season cut short by a knee injury. A criminal justice major with a 3.50 GPA, she joins Abby Ettenhoffer as the only two-time volleyball academic all-league recipients.
Ludwig, a senior from Centerville, Ohio, was a four-year standout for the Penguins. An early childhood education major with a 3.79 GPA, she is just the fourth YSU soccer player to earn academic all-league honors.
Rupe, a junior from Cortland, Ohio, won the Horizon League championship in November. A science education major with a 3.39 GPA, he is the first YSU male cross country student-athlete since 2008 to be named academic All-Horizon League.
