Impressive Number of Student-Athletes Earn Degrees in Spring

The former Penguins who received their diplomas during ceremonies at the Beeghly Center on May 19 were Jacquline Clonch (Track and Field), Nick DeKraker (Football), Kaitlin Rohrs (Women's Basketball/Athletic Training Room), Katie Peterlin (Soccer), Casey Hill (Swimming and Diving), Jordan Ingalls (Softball), Tariq Ismail (Men's Tennis), Melanie Prelec (Track and Field), Robert Switka (Baseball), Kristen Philen (Softball), Hannah Snyder (Soccer), Ashen Ward (Basketball), Brandi Brown (Women's Basketball), Sarah Scheidemantel (Golf), Nishani Cicilson (Swimming & Diving), Damian Eargle (Men's Basketball), Lauren Hankle (Tennis), Chuck Lengyel (Football), Macey Nortey (Women's Basketball), Caitlin Cook (Swimming & Diving), Amanda Cox (Track and Field), Samantha Atwood (Track and Field), Davion Cuff (Track and Field), Blake Allen (Men's Basketball), Jeremy Banks (Baseball), David Brown (Football), Brittany Grove (Volleyball), Nicole Pachol (Track and Field) and Haley Thomas (Softball). Current student-athletes Marcus Heath (baseball), Torrian Pace (football) and Melissa Thompson (basketball) earned their degrees. Pace was an Honors Program graduate along with Atwood.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude were Clonch, DeKraker, Peterlin, Switka and Rohrs. Earning Magna Cum Laude distinction were Brown, Cicilson, Hill, Ingalls, Ismail, Prelec and Scheidemantel. Cum Laude graduates included Allen, Snyder, Philen and Heath.
Also graduating were former athletic department student assistants Tony Cardiero (marketing), Elyse Gessler (Penguin Club), Anthony Schiraldi (sports medicine), Krista Monroe (sports medicine) and Alex Antonucci (football coach). Former Horizon League Network production assistants Greg Socciarelli and George Mazoros also graduated.
