Penguin Club Jamboree Set for Tonight at The Georgetown

The Youngstown State Penguin Club’s annual Jamboree is set for Thursday at The Georgetown. The dinner buffet begins at 6 p.m. with a silent auction starting at 7 p.m. and the raffle program starting at 7:30 p.m. A live auction will be held during the event and silent and Chinese auction items will be available.

All proceeds from the event go directly to the Penguin Club and help support scholarships for YSU student-athletes.

Fans get a chance to mingle with YSU Head Coaches and it’s a great opportunity to get to know some of the new faces on our coaching staffs. Besides getting to a chance to meet YSU staff, fans get a chance to bid on a variety of merchandise in both a silent and live auction.

More than 200 items are available through the live, silent and "Red-Bag" auctions.

Silent auction items of note include autographed footballs, golf course gift certificates, golf merchandise, Pittsburgh Pirates tickets, Pittsburgh Penguins tickets, gift cards to area restaurants as well as numerous Youngstown State items from all sports.

"Red-Bag" auction items include iPhone covers, t-shirts, sweatshirts and other assorted items.

Live auction items are available as well. Some of the live auction items are a week-long stay at a condo in Florida, a two-night stay at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., four Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins (Dec. 8) tickets and parking pass, YSU vs. South Dakota (Nov. 2) and UNI (Nov. 9) Travel With the Team Experiences and Georgetown dining experience.

Many more items for all auctions will be available that evening.

Cash prizes for the evening total more than $5,000. The grand prize for the raffle is $3,000 and once again a door prize of $500 will be awarded.
