Hundelt Collects 1,000th Kill in Volleyball’s Loss to Toledo

Hundelt's milestone moment came on the 24th point of the second set, giving her 14 kills in the match. The senior from St. Louis finished with 19 kills, and she did not have an error until her 28th attempt. The rest of the lineup struggled against the Rockets as no other player hit above .185. Hundelt finished with 19 kills on a .341 attack percentage, and she added 16 digs. Erika West had 19 digs, and Jenna Cavanaugh tied the match high with eight blocks.
Toledo had four players finish with between 10 and 13 kills with Jordan Kielty leading the way with 13 kills. YSU did force the Rockets into 33 attack errors, including 11 apiece from Kielty and top hitter Lauren Rafdal.
Hundelt became the 11th player in school history to eclipse 1,000 kills. Her total stands at 1,005, which ranks tied-for-ninth in school history.
Youngstown State will play Arizona State at the University of Illinois on Thursday before traveling to Saint Louis University for three matches over the weekend.
