Shiley, Neu Win Events at SPIRE Midwest Invitational

Neu won the weight throw with a toss of 19.99 meters. He took first in the event by an impressive 2.47 meters. Shiley won the 400m with a time of 57.64 seconds by just .04 seconds over Buffalo's Kyla Kenyon.
In the shot put, Jennifer Neider placed third in the shot put with a toss of 13.53 meters. For the men in the event, Jacob Chiclowe came in third at 15.95 meters while Ryan Booth was fourth with toss of 15.94 meters.
Marcellus Embry had a solid day competing in the 200m dash and the 60m dash. Embry placed fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.99 seconds and was 11th in the 60m dash clocking in at 7.14 seconds.
Nick Gliha finished seventh in the mile with a time of 4:20.94 and came in 11th in the 3,000m run at 8:57.61.
In the 800-meter run, Dylin Wilhoite finished fifth with a time of 1:57.01. In the 400m, John Helms placed sixth in the with a time of 49.87 seconds.
Leanna Hartsough was sixth in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.60 meters.
Sam Shaviss finished seventh in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.56 seconds. Tiffany Barnes placed eighth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.98 seconds.
The Penguins return to action on Feb. 6-7 when they host the YSU National Invitational.
