Sprinters Step Up Again at Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus

Nina Grambling placed second in the 100m dash while Ciara Jarrett was third in the 200m dash as both had strong performances against a very talented field.
Grambling was second in the 100m dash at 11.73 seconds behing Indiana Tech's Adella King (11.50 seconds). In of field of 38, she was in front of three Ohio State runners.
Jarrett third in the 200m with a time of 24.23 seconds. She finished behind King (24.02 seconds) and Shanequa Williams from Kent State (24.14 seconds). Grambling finished 11th with a time of 25.11 seconds.
Also for the women, Nicole Pachol was sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.08 and Laura Kosiorek was 11th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.67 seconds.
The women were also third in the 4x100-meter relay as Kosiorek, Jarrett, Alexis Washington and Grambling ran a time of 46.80 finishing behind Indiana Tech and Cincinnati.
In the field events, Kendall Homan was fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.79 meters and Ashley Wagner was tied for eighth in the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters.
For the men, YSU was third in the 4x100-meter relay as Michael Davis, Tarelle Irwin, Dorian Davis and Marquis Williamson posted a time of 41.77 seconds. Davis went on to place eighth in the 100m-dash at 10.82 seconds.
Dorian Davis was ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.73 meters and 11th in the long jump with a leap of 6.93 meters.
John Seaver was 10th in the shot put with a throw of 17.45 meters while in the high jump, Jakovina was sixth clearing a height of 1.95 meters.
