YSU Preps For Horizon League Meet With Tilt at Akron

Akron, Ohio - The Youngstown State men's and women's track and field teams were in action on Friday evening at the Zips Open at the Stile Field House in Akron.

The meet featured the Penguins, the Zips and selected athletes from Bowling Green and Ashland as well as some unattached competitors.

Winners for YSU were Dorian Davis in the triple jump (14.21 meters), Ciara Jarrett in the 60-meter dash (7.64 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (24.56 seconds) and Kodie Fennell in the 800m (1:57.46).

The Penguins return to action next Saturday and Sunday when they host the Horizon League Championships at the WATTS.
