Head Coach Mickael Sopel said a victory over Cleveland State is a big step for the program.
"We played really hard and stayed focused throughout the match against a great team," Sopel said. "Taking care of doubles was huge for us. It's great to see the team play better in pressure situations. That helped in singles and allowed us to play relaxed and get a big conference win."
The Penguins return to action next Saturday when they visit Marquette.
