Dow Notches Two Pool Records in Home Finale vs. Bowling Green

Dow posted a time of 57.43 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke to win the event by more than two seconds. In the 200 backstroke, she won by almost six seconds with a pool-record time of 2:05.33. Dow held both records previously which she established last Feb. 3 agianst UIC. Dow also placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.97.
Prior to the meet, YSU honored senior swimmers Liseli Baich, Soyriah Davis, Samantha Roberts and divers Casey Hill and Jacqueline Smith. Bowling Green won the dual by a score of 163-122.
Hill won her final home event posting a solid performance in the three-meter dive with a total of 276.15 points. Bec Stafford won the one-meter with a score of 274.49 and had a score of 251.90 in the three-meter. Hill had a 243.44 in the one-meter.
In her final home meet, Roberts was second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.50 as well as the in the 200 finishing with a 2:28.83.
Laura Paz won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.78 and was second in the 100 fly with a time of 59.24 seconds.
Hanna Martin was third in 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:54.47.
The Penguins final dual of the season is Friday at Ohio.
