With the win, the Penguins improve to 2-2 while Virginia falls to 1-3.
Sophomore Miranda Castiglione went 2-for-2 while freshman Sara Dowd drove in three runs as well.
The Penguins scored five in the second, four in the third, and Haslett's solo home run in the bottom of the fifth enforced the mercy rule.
Back-to-back bases-loaded walks to Haslett and senior Haley Knight, who was named to the all-tournament team, put the Penguins up 2-0.
Dowd bases-clearing single scored Haslett, Knight and freshman Maria Lacatena to give the Penguins a 5-0 lead after two.
Virginia scored on in the top of the fourth, but the Penguins answered with four in the bottom half. Haslett's fielder's choice scored senior Sarah Ingalls, who reached on an error, Castiglione scored on a wild pitch, and Lacatena doubled home Knight and Haslett to put the Penguins up 9-1 after three.
Virginia added another run in the top of the fourth before Haslett's game-ending home run.
The Penguins are off until Feb. 21 when they visit Tennessee State at the Tiger Classic in Nashville, Tenn.
