Crozier allowed just one base runner, a two-out walk to Detroit's Christa McGahuey in the top of the first inning, and retired the final 13 batters she faced.
It marks the first no-hitter since 2003 for the Penguins, who improve to 8-14 overall and 3-3 in the Horizon League. Detrot falls to 4-28 overall and 1-4 in the league.
The Penguins sent 10 batters to the plate and scored four runs in the bottom half of the first inning, which gave Crozier some breathing room.
Senior Vicky Rumph's single down the left-field line scored Courtney Ewing and Samantha Snodgrass, who both doubled. After a double by freshman Kelly Stowe and a walk to Sarah Ingalls, senior Sarah Gabel singled up the middle that scored Rumph, and Stowe scored when the Titans tried to make a play at second base.
Ingalls, who went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, led off the top of the third inning with a solo home run to push the Penguins lead to 5-0, and drilled a single to left-center field to score Stowe in the bottom of the fourth to put YSU up 6-0.
After walks to Gabel and Kayla Haslett, sophomore Brooke Meenachan's pinch-hit single to left scored Gabel, and senior Caroline Krombach's single to right plated pinch-runner Shayla DeCapita with the mercy-rule enforcing run.
The Penguins host Cleveland State in a three-game series, April 13-14, at McCune Park. First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m.
