The Penguins improve to 7-14 overall and 2-3 in the Horizon League while Detroit moves to 4-27 overall and 1-3 in the league.
Crozier (6-4) struck out four and walked just one en route to her sixth victory and first shutout of the season.
The Penguins cranked out 12 hits in the opener, but left 10 runners on base. It was not until the bottom of the fifth inning when the Penguins were able to scratch three runs across.
Freshman Kelly Stowe drove in the Penguins first run with a one-out single to left field that scored Caroline Krombach, who reached on an error.
Ingalls big hit was a two-out single up the middle that plated Samantha Snodgrass and Vicky Rumph.
The Penguins added two more in the bottom of the sixth on Courtney Ewings single up the middle and Rumph's double down the left-field line.
In the nightcap, the Penguins scored twice in the bottom of the third to take a 2-0 lead. Ewing singled home Kayla Haslett, who singled, and Samantha Troxell scored on an error.
The Titans, though, scored two in the top of the fifth and two more in the top of the sixth.
Ingall's nearly provided the late-inning heroics but her long fly ball to deep center field with two runners on was caught on the warning track.
The Penguins and Titans will conclude the series, Wednesday, with first pitch slated for 11 a.m. at McCune Park.
