Sad news - Dan Peters battling pancreatic cancer

Sorry to hear this about the former YSU men's basketball coach.  Best of luck Coach.

Dan will be having surgery this coming week. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. He was planning to retire after this season and now faces this battle. He's an excellent coach and an even better person.

Dan Peter's is a great person, and he was very under appreciated during his days as HC at YSU. I wish him and his family the best, in this fight with cancer.

How very, very sad.  I hope his Doctors can bring him through this terrible stuff.  Wow,it is horrible.

Why does this type of cancer seem like an epidemic in NE ohio. It is very rare, but seems to occur frequently.

I know that President Carter is the national spokesman and chair of the pancreatic cancer organization. He lost a grandparent, parent and both siblings to the disease. I watched his 15-minute commercial ...very sad but informative. Good luck coach.

I and the family visited with coach many times when he was with YSU. We are so saddened.  We are due for a miracle, and with faith it can happen.  I add my prayers for this fine man.

Just like coach jimmy v said, dont give up dont ever give up. He gave one of the most emotional and inspirational speeches ever given by anyone.
