Hope YSU keeps the pedal to the floor the entire game like they did with ILS.Western was leading Minnesota 12-7 till late in the 3rd QTR.We definitely don't need another game like the Missouri State disaster of 2011.

Right.  this is a trap game, especially after coming off of such a great performance.  It is usually impossible to duplicate something like that.  They need to stay focused and play harder in order to maintain that level.

Any info on ticket sales?  Would be great to see a big crowd, but weather is iffy and Buckeyes play at 3:30.

Let's hope for good weather and a good turnout; the Ohio State game is at 3:30 and it will be a
conflict with some fans.

The team seems to be jelling, but the defense must continue to step up and prevent the passing  plays over the middle. I have not heard the status of Ruiz, if he is not playing this probably will slow are running game.

We can't let down and have too many mistakes. I still believe we will prevail.

YSU 38  W.Ill  21

Go Penguins!!

YSU 38
WIU 17

Key for me is holding them to under 20 points. That will be a sign the defense is improving. Can't let any big pass plays like ILSU and Dayton.

Apparently some travel issues for the Leathernecks - glad they are safe.

NEWS3 - wiutv ‏@news3wiu 43m
@WIUfootball lost altitude and had oxygen masks deploy on their flight to Youngstown, Ohio but landed safe and sound - NH

Garrett Knock ‏@G_baby_6 51m
Well that flight to youngstown was interesting had the oxygen masks deploy half way through the flight #goodtobeontheground #safe #happybday

WIU Leathernecks ‏@WIUAthletics 1h
Had issue with cabin pressure on our charter, masks came down, thankfully everyone ok. #Leathernecks landed safely in Youngstown

had to be a little scary - see below

really?

YSU flies to every road game this year except Indiana State.

you think WIU would bus more than 10 hours.

bus more than ten hours?  Yeah that's a good way to prepare for a game.

This is not meant as an insult, so don't take it that way but when you are old enough to go to one of these away games I recommend going to one of them.   Some of these places are way out in the middle of no where. Macomb and Carbondale are just out there.  I can't understand why people would want to go out there to school. How do they even recruit?  No offemse to them, but I wouldn't be caught dead with a freaking Saluki logo on my person.  Hell, I had to look it up the first time I saw it. I have a ton of respect for their program. They are competitive in everything. Gayle Sayers did a fine job with their athletic program (not sure if he is still there) but somehow they recuit kids to play in the middle of nowhere with some ugly mascot.

My point is that they are so remote that if they broke down on the road they would miss the game. Flying is probably the lowest risk and takes away the travel time.

Offense looks like crap again

Missou State up 35-21 with 3 minutes left, SDSU could go to 4-4

NDSU scored 21 unanswered to go up 21-0 with 5 min left in 3rd

Illinois State beat Indiana St 55-14
