NDSU...CONGRATULATIONS

Good win for them today.  Too bad, they didn't have the know how
to beat YSU.  WE apparently taught them how to play.  What's
wrong with this picture....we beat them...they are in the semi's
we are at home.  JUST WAIT 2012 is right around the corner.

To our friends at Georgia Southern....hate to say it, but I tried to
tell you way back when at Chatty.....you gotta learn to play with
the BIG guys.  You doubted me cause you got lucky (one time).
Sorry for your loss today but you shoulda known, if YSU beat this
team, we (MEANING GSU) still will have our hands full.  Cause
YSU is made of sterner stuff.

Maybe the loss to YSU was just the kick in the pants NDSU needed. Rather see them there then the iowa chokers.

Lets review - no CAA team in the title game ( 5 chances ) no Southern team no Big Sky team! I love it hahahahaha

Would love to be able to say YSU beat the National champs.  Would love to see NDSU do in their second playoff appearance what UNI hasn't been able to do in 3 decades.

Where is that guy who came here and preached that defense does not matter?  NDSU shut down that triple option just as effectively as we did in 1991, 1992, and 1993 (I have a mental block about 1999.)

We beat NDSU by slugging it out on even terms for four quarters in their dome.  Nothing fluky about that win.  Without comparing stats, I am quite sure that we moved the ball against NDSU better than anybody.  I have not seen an offense in the playoffs this year that was as good as ours.  Defense is another matter.  Special teams? Forget it.  But our defense was young and special teams, although pathetic, are the easiest element to fix.

I watched the last half of the NDSU game(well I  listened to the 2nd qtr. A certain 9.5mth old decided that he wanted food).  NDSU looked really great. I was really surprised they put that last TD in.

Wick-I was always taught that it is DEFENSE that wins ball games. And that NDSU defense was awesome. One thing I don't understand is: Why is the NC game so late. Could it be the fact that they are so many bowl games.

The late nc game is the new format that began last year. It is intended to get more TV viewers, but the logic is pretty suspect. It's just as dumb as the FCS moniker, and I hate the layoff.

I hate the FCS tag. To me it is still 1-AA, and it is still the playoffs. I also don't like the layoff I always loved the season being over b4 Christmas.

Wow!! I didn't realize that NDSU had such a dry spell!?

That was a fun game to watch. NDSU beat up the offense of GSU...their backs and QB were taking shots and were slowly getting back up. Reminded me of old YSU 90's defense.

Their O-line was dominant as well. ESPN talked up the NT from GSU, #66 and So-Con player of the year I believe. But after the first drive he was invisible, often driven down the field and out of the picture. Loved it.
