From my vantage point in the east stands, you could see one Western player after another retreating back to the trainer's table.  We beat up that team physically like we had not done to anybody in many years.  Wonderful to see.

Me thinks that the taunting call on the int for a td was a bs call.

Took a look at the WIU site and found this.

"I remember those YSU radio announcers from last year. I think that they were shocked when we had that late score to win the game at Hanson Field 40-38.

Their fans who were at that game last year were not that much better. I have not met a group of visiting fans as mean-spirited as the YSU fans were. They like to throw around the "Hick" word a lot when talking about Macomb and Western.

I won't miss them when they decided the leave the MVFC. [Tongue]

Let's Go WESTERN!! "

Pita please tell me that this is not true, do our fans come across that way or is this sour grapes?

Hard to guage too much from this. However:

1. 4 drives, 19 plays, with 4 TD's were the results of our first 4-drives. Very impressive numbers from Monty once again.

2. We again give up huge numbers to a running back. 150-yards to Watson.

3. We need a bit more control on offense ...going into the next couple games. We need to eat the clock.

4. The secondary mixed in quite a few different looks today.

I though the band was great, during the game itself, this past week. They need to to upgrade their halftime show, as it is very "high-school" (rock music, dance routines and such). However, they were right on each series of downs with the music. They now cheer in a sort of taunting fashion, which is just great. It is much better than the speaker system. Nice job.
