Casey Crozier Named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week

Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown State freshman pitcher Casey Crozier was named the Horizon League's Pticher of the Week for the week of Feb. 28, the league announced on Monday.

Crozier is the first YSU pitcher since Karlie Burnell on March 26, 2007, to be named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week.

Crozier picked up her first two career victories, first save and first shutout over the weekend.

Crozier struck out five in a complete-game win over Delaware State on Feb. 26 while allowing just five hits.

Crozier fired a two-hit shutout over Siena with four strikeouts and zero walks.

On the season, Crozier owns a record of 2-1 with an earned-run average of 2.66 and 18 strikeouts.
