Improvement again.  Still not sure why they are struggling to go up top.  It may be lack of a 50 / 50 receiver.  Again refs decide the game on a bad call.

We should let 2nd string QB let play some of the next 2 games. We need to find a long yardage passing game. Right now, Brungard is a great running QB, but we can't win in this league without being able to complete passes downfield. Though I am not sure wide receivers' talent is there.

ISU has very poor camera crew. We are spoiled with our crews at home games.

The ONE positive is we have a good camera crew.  Also, clearly UND was grossly overrated as they lost to Indiana State today.  If you ask me the quality of FCS football is in real trouble.

I agree with 1982 partially.  A lot of positives today.  Obviously the negatives are it took offense way too long to get going and no over the top pass plays.  D I think played a fairly complete game. Really has improved as the year went on.  I hope we don't lose too many and build in this next year .  That is what ndsu and SDSU are able to do.  I do think brungard has showed enough to be are starter especially when you look at our wideouts.  Farthing has missed the year due to injury which didn't  help. Last year we hit a lot of back shoulder throws to Oliver.  He went up and got them.  Don't seem to have that this year.  Go guins.

Crazy how the Defense played well enough to win. Offense was offensive. Crazy how BB gets a lot of the blame but the games I watched the O-Line is crap. TODAY on a 3 man front on several occasions by the time the ball was snapped and BB received it he had one or two of the three defenders within 5 feet of him. 3 yards and a cloud of dust is all this line is good for. I've said it before a young Tom Brady wouldn't have good passing stats with these guys pass protecting for him.

GoooooooGuins!!

I watched the penguin podcast. Kurt Hess mentioned that also. I checked the roster today, he was still listed in the practice squad.

We played much better defensively yet offensively we struggled.   BB is our offense.   He goes so does our offense. They kept a spy on him and he didn't get much yards until late.  Yet we only lost 23-16.  With a missed FG.  We have to win one more game because we play teams that are as poor as us and have 0 conference wins. Regroup and take it one week at a time.  Your right BB not a down the field passer.  SIU next week.  They are 0-5 in conference play. UNI is the same.. look for UNI coach Farley to either resign or be fired at end of year.

As others have suggested, we lack anybody who can get open behind a secondary. Tomczak is an excellent possession receiver but is not a deep threat. Last year the mere presence of Oliver opened up the whole field for Davidson. I wonder how effective Davidson would have been if he had been throwing to this batch of receivers.

YSU was fortunate to get Oliver from UK.   Let's not pretend that the staff "developed" him.  Recruiting is poor by this staff and I wonder what we have so far for next months signings.

Called it in my first post on this thread. When teams figure out that BB takes off running and just spy him, they will shut down the offense. ILLS did exactly that. Rushed 3-4 and spied him all day. Didn’t let him get the big runs. When you can’t throw it over the top due to both qb and lack of deep threat receivers that is what you get. I’m afraid in the off season we need to get a qb that can throw it 40 yards down field and get a few receivers that can go up and get the 50/50 balls. Just not happening now. Oline is not doing their job either, which is a little shocking considering what we had coming back. Oh well, 2 games left to try to get to 5-7 and save something from the season. I too would like to see Blanc or Schondelmeyer get come snaps in these last two games.

He is on today’s active roster according to the Titan’s website

That was Oggletree from indy and not Oliver.  My bad. Confusing.   Happy to see we have 3 players in the league.
