YSU has been playing marginal QBs for years.  The current QB is a D3 quarterback.  There's NO way he could start for Slippery Rock.  No disrespect to Slippery Rock as they are a top #25 D2 program annually.

Beu looked a little better on that series but on 3rd down and 8 in the red zone they run up the middle not showing confidence in their qb.

Let us be realistic, we lost our starting QB as well as couple top receivers from last year’s team. We now have a QB with minimum experience in passing last year.
Do we really believe that we could have much of a passing game? I will be shocked if we do have one.

Yes.  He's in his 3rd year and you go out and recruit the athletes

As I posted before, the freshman QB has shown most potential in the spring game. However, as DP said in his news conference this week, he rarely starts a redshirt freshmen, let along a true freshman. The guy is now listed on the depth chart as a fourth string QB. Well, at least DP is true to his words.

I'm not going to pile on our qb but he had a pick and a fumble that probably cost a score.   Worst case is that he grows from this game and improves during the season.  Hopefully he'll get going the 2nd half.

Thought the defense was vanilla with no blitz on their QB.  Guess d coordinator doesn' want to gamble with their qb's ability to break containment.

I agree let's not pile on the QB.  Let's pile on the head coach who has proven he can't recruit a QB!  The days of building a program are OVER.  With the portal and NIL he needs to get better.
