IUPUI
« on: February 23, 2023, 07:47:53 AM »
Game is on the road at IUPUI Saturday at 7pm.  I hope we are ready.  At the same time is a big game as CSU plays Milwaukee in Wisconsin.   Big game for who wants the title.  YSU wins Saturday night then the worst we can do is share the title CSU if they win on the road.  Greenbay plays CSU  tonight as well.  Lots of games in League play tonight.   Some have playoff spot implications.

Hard for me to imagine CSU losing to Green Bay.  Milwaukee has been struggling of a late, but they could knock off CSU at home.  They play PFW tonight.

I was thinking the same.

Remember GreenBay defeated Milwaukee at Milwaukee like 3 weeks ago.   It can happen.  Lets hope it does.

Oakland defeated Wright State which helped out YSU in the tiebreaker battle vs CSU.

RMU just lost to IUPUI as well, which should also help YSU.

GB up on CSU at half by 4.

Hopefully after the shellacing Tuesday night + what IUPUI just did to RMU = a damn good mindset by our guys Saturday evening.

Bobby Morris must have still been celebrating their last win.

GB could sure make it interesting if they can pull it off.

But most importantly we need to take care of business.

Green Bay ran out of steam about halfway through the 2nd half and CSU won by 11.  They played good against YSU for most of the first half before YSU crushed them in the 2nd half.  IUPUI has been in a lot of games this year and lose them late; they also cover most of the spreads.  I agree with after the way YSU played against RMU and then IUPUI knocking them off YSU better be prepared.

The game Saturday is being played on campus at the Jungle instead of Indiana Farmers Coliseum.  Looks to be like outside of a preseason exhibition, they haven't played there all year.  And YSU has played there since at least IUPUI joined the league.

Before YSU's loss to RMU, they had a 95% chance at the #1 seed.  That dropped to 78% after the loss.  It's now back up to 91% after last night.

We just need to take care of business Saturday night and let the chips fall where they may.  Be nice if Milwaukee can beat CSU Saturday.   But we need to beat the improving IUPUI team 1st

Huge game.   Read we can win the tie breaker shall we win at IUPUI or finish a far as 4th place if all scenarios are not in our favor.  Lets just go out and Win!!!!!!   Cannot depend on anything in the conference as it never works out for us anyways.   The ball is in our court to control..  SIMPLY WE MUST WIN THE IUPUI GAME

That is not accurate. If we win we automatically lock down the #1 seed regardless of the outcome of CSU-MKE.

If we lose, the winner of MKE-CSU gets the #1 seed and we get the #2 seed.

This site breaks it down: http://playoffstatus.com/horizonbasketball/horizonstandings.html

91% chance at #1 spot.
9% chance at #2 spot.

Perfect world we win and CSU loses and we are the sole Horizon League Regular Season Conference Champions.

Penguins are 15-point favorites over IUPUI. Cleveland St is a 1-point favorite over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

That is fine, but what you read was incorrect. We can only finish #1 or #2.

YSU won't be worse than a #2 seed no matter what
