Youngstown State had eight players earn All-Missouri Valley Football Conference recognition for their efforts during the 2022 campaign, the league announced on Monday. Highlighting the list were first-team selections running back Jaleel McLaughlin and wide receiver Bryce Oliver.

McLaughlin ends his career as a three-time All-MVFC pick and was a two-time first team pick each of the past two falls. This year he was named the MVFC's Offensive Player of the Year, a first for YSU player since 2006. Oliver is the first YSU wide receiver to be named to the first team since 2010 and just the third overall since the Guins joined the league in 1997. Oliver joins Dominique Barnes (2010) and Ferlando Williams (2007) as the only wide receivers in school history to earn first-team All-MVFC recognition.

Earning second-team accolades were defensive end Dylan Wudke, center Mike McAllister and place kicker Colt McFadden. McFadden was an honorable-mention selection last year and is just the third YSU placekicker to earn first or second-team status since 2008. Wudke and McAllister are first time all-conference selections.

Earning honorable-mention laurels were offensive tackle Jaison Williams, defensive end James Jackson and defensive tackle Chris Fitzgerald. Williams earned honorable-mention All-MVFC honors in 2021 as well.
