don't know Power ...I think it is really that our first option has always been open. :)

True.  That is a nice thing to have in a game

We have so many FBS transfers ...Bo needs to bring in Tressel for a little lecture on the celebration rules. we are constantly strutting and gesturing on the way in the end zone this season. That has go to stop in the post season especially. It will be much more strictly enforced.

Best win I've seen in recent memory.

We had a couple pretty severe looking injuries on D.

Hopefully someone around practice next week can start a thread or post some updates on injuries

Moss was an ankle injury, probably could've played if the game was closer. Thompson we will have to wait and see. Powell does a good job in the position as well. Biggest injury I'm concerned about is Kennedy. Will he be ready for next week ???

There is no excessive celebration in FBS. They will get sideline warning ...usually. That is assuming they do not build a player pyramid in the end-zone   ...   LOL. At our level the NCAA has made it perfectly clear. No gesturing. Give the zebra the ball and get back to the huddle.

Wrong IAA, NCAA Football Rule 9-2, Article 1(a)(1)(d) and Rule 9-2, Article 1(a)(2) together are anti celebration penalties. They apply to FBS as well as FCS. Considering FCS and FBS are both Division I football and play under Division I NCAA rules.

1AA, not reading this until Sunday morning and had to laugh at your regret missing the long Webb run while answering your door.  Little did we know how many more long runs we had in store!!
Credible passing threat is best thing for run game.  Same as run game best to set up passing game.  Hunter is so much better throwing the ball than the other guys it really makes a difference.  The TD drive at the end of the half with no time outs was a thing of beauty.  Several plays, especially TD pass Hunter made and Davis et.al. could have only dreamed of making.   Best single drive in at least 19 years.
Getting Hunter back in the swing of things bodes well for the playoffs.  However, Kennedy is critical.  At least McFadden is good from close in.

I agree with this post..Just a little surprised it took 7 weeks and a injury to Davis to figure it out

Davis et al did not see a worse pass D or total D than we saw yesterday.  Look at the stats. Nathan still has a higher passing average and passing efficiency, and again complied against better competition.  As Bob Hannon said, UNI said they easily could've hung 80 points on MSU.

Armand could've been QB and looked good yesterday. I'll root for whoever is taking the snaps, but we are not facing ISUb, SIU, or MSU in R2...so whomever it is needs to be up to the task.

Speaking of stats, Ruiz and Webb are the #s 1 and 3 rushers in the valley.

The two TD passes to the corner of the end zone in the last two games were a thing of beauty. We just have to give him time to make the throw and hope the receivers won't drop it.
Watching from yesterday's game, McFadden was able to kick it straight while the other guy hooked it every time. With that hook, he wouldn't hit any field goals from 30 yards out.
