Home Games in Play-off?
« on: November 09, 2016, 10:48:04 AM »
I was just checking brackets and it look like they will offer an 8-team bye ...so then I do feel that we will host a home game, but will travel week-2.

That would be fantastic. Are you assuming we win out in that scenario?

yes. I (personal opinion only) do not see us getting in with a 4th-loss, but many people do ...even some people with a couple of conferences. I see teams with recent play-off history (especially from the MVFC) getting in with 4 losses, but not YSU. This week's game between WIU and UNI is much bigger than most think.

In 2014, Indiana State made playoffs with 5 losses, last year Western Illinois got it with 5 losses.  Indiana State was 7-5, Western 6-5.  It is hard to find 24 good teams, that is way too many for a playoff field.  These are the only two teams to ever get with 5 losses.

YSU would be in at 7-4.

That's very encouraging, thanks for looking that up.
