Today in Penguin Sports
« on: February 23, 2013, 03:39:49 PM »
Well, this sure has been a bad day to be a Penguin ...so far:

Baseball lost to WVa. (worst team in the tournament)
WBB lost to Loyola (was the worst team in the conference until 9 days ago)
Softball lost Campbell (worst team in the tournament)

Track: We have performed well in the short distances, but not with hurdles. We have no one in the middle distances. We will be in striking distance at the end of day-1, but we need to be in the lead, as most of our better track events are today. We have competition in the field events this year, Jackovina has been just terrific this year, and will give us some points. With Butler gone, I thought we had some great points coming in the distance events, which they traditionally sweep, but Loyola has buried the competition already and it is only the preliminaries.

So it is up to Women's tennis and basketball to bring home the "W's".

Go Guins!!! Thank you Damian and Blake!!!

Track teams are all but out of it. Ladies have a chance, but very slim. Men will have to fight to stay out of the basement.
