One of the best first halves of the season. YSU looks locked in & feeding off the energy of the crowd. PFW averages nearly 85 a game & held them to 30. After some uncontested dunks early, YSU really turned up the wick on defense.

This team can obviously score so need to play a 40 minute game unlike Oakland & NKU where YSU had pretty big second half leads

Pull this one out, winning 93-85.
27 points second half lead was cut to 2 with couple minutes to go.
Rush made a critical 3 with less than a minute to go to ice the game.
Leading by 27 in the second, guys needed to slow down and run some clock.

YSU was the bigger team but didn't play like it. Ft Wayne might have the best team speed we'll play all season.

Agree. He was so much better than Langdon. He was on the bench when PFW made their run. Without him running the point, we could not figure out how to score. In couple of minutes, PFW cut 10 points off our lead.
The last 10 minutes, I don’t know if the guys were running out of gas or not, they stopped playing defense. PFW put up 55 points on us in the second half (only 30 points in the first half), unbelievable. Coach can’t be happy….

What a strange game.  The first 26.5 mins of the game YSU looked invincible.  PFW had 30 at halftime and was held without a FG for the first 6.5+ mins in the 2nd half.  It's almost unbelievable they scored 85 as they scored 51 points in 13.5 mins!  I'm not sure I've ever seen a game quite like this one.

For the 2nd straight game, Brett Thompson won it for YSU in the 2nd half.  He set a school record making 17 FT.

It was good to see Brandon Rush back to his self.  Ziggy Reid was tremendous as well.  This was the first time YSU had 3 players at 20+ points since 2001!

Langdon had 5 double digit scoring games in the 1st 7 games of the season and has only had 1 in the last 10.  He really struggled tonight shooting just 1-8 and most all were good looks.  He also had 2 really bad turnovers.

YSU can look really good in spurts as they have in 3 of the last 4 games against quality opponents of Oakland, NKU & PFW, but they can't figure out how to play a 40 minute game.

Big victory.   We did everything in last 13 minutes to give the game away.  We looked tired.  Good win.  Now Huge game Friday 9pm vs Wright St.  They score tons and put 106 and 101 last 2 road games.   We got our work cut out so at least we are playing at home.   Red out.  Thought announced crowd was much smaller than what was in the stands.  Wonder how they are counting the ticket sales.  Wonder if that is paid attendance.

That is a solid win. I certainly was not expecting that. Would have been nice not to blow the 27 point lead but you know what, whatever. We beat what looked like the best team in the league last night. ESPN game Friday!! Lets go!!
