This weeks women's games at Wright State and Northern Kentucky are cancelled. Covid-19 at both schools.

13 days without a game will be difficult. Fortunately, we have UIC scheduled before IUPUI when we resume. That is assuming anybody is playing in two weeks.

So according to WKBN per the league office, the Wright St game has been ruled a forfeit win for YSU and the Northern Kentucky game has been ruled a no contest.

Both were due to covid, why the different rulings?

These games automatically start out as forfeits, but the league commissioner has the discretion to alter the result to a "no contest" if she feels that "extraordinary circumstances" caused the problems.  In reality, if your team is fully vaccinated, you seem to earn the break.  If you have players or staff who refuse vaccinations, you get the forfeit.  I seem to recall reading somewhere that a few Wright State players and even a coach had refused to get vaccinated. That would probably account for how the commissioner made the decision.
