WBB vs Eastern Kentucky
« on: December 03, 2019, 10:02:55 PM »
Watched the game tonight on ESPN+.  Down by 15 in the first half and come back to win by 10 or so.  Great comeback. Lacking height for sure, but played smart and number 22 was outstanding off the bench.  She was the main reason for the spark that got us the win.  Will be difficult without an inside presence. Many easy baskets by EKU inside off rebounds etc.

The game tonight just shows us what it means to have a highly competent coach.  Under Barnes, our inside game has been vital to our success.  Now it is in shambles with the only healthy player over 5'10" a true freshman (who is giving us everything that she can.)  You saw tonight that hard work and belief in the system can sometimes prevail against all odds.  It will still probably turn into a lost year in which developing the young players will become the primary goal.  But these women continue to make us proud on the court and inside the classrooms.

Dunn, VanZanten, Chickwe all hurt. Thought it would be the end of this team. Just unbelievable that they were able to win.
