Bad play calling

why do you throw a 30 yard pass into a 30 mph wind with two high safeties? Dumb play call and bad throw cost us points.

I don't blame Shane for leaving. He was tired of butting heads with Bo. It all started with Bo bringing in Hosick to replace Wells then Bo bringing in Vangorder to replace May's who was next in line. Besides Bo wanted Crist to be the OC from the get go

It is all in style of ball. We cannot run around and be another Delaware (buying a new QB every year).  Bo came from Nebraska, his position-level assistants were tops ...let alone coaches and coordinators. When he came here, he had similar in coach Carl and coach Shane, but at our level we cannot afford much else. Now he does not have even this. You can be mediocre at the top, but your best has to be on the practice field every day and still able to design game-plans. We simply do not have this. If the head coach is your best coach ...you are going nowhere. Right now Bo is our best coach and not by design ...rather attrition.

Who would we get that is better? It seems like our coaching jobs are all about getting successful college football coaches native to the Youngstown area, to donate their time to our program as a community service/charity donation. We simply don't pay well enough to get the best.  If Bo could pay he could get better coaches.  Who can do better?

We really need to move up a division.  We've got the facilities and number of sports to do it.  We need a new stadium and the budget of a true D1 school.  Otherwise we should drop down tonD2.

Agreed Penguinpower.  It’s fairly obvious we don’t have the financial resources to compete for quality coaches.  Either step downs division or go to the Ohio Valley or NEC put all our sports in one league.  The MVC is not where we belong it’s a bad fit for the fans, recruiting  etc.  The BS of its the toughest league is not helping s recruit or build any identity with our fan base.  Being in one league for all sports will do that.

If this program drops down, they become more irrelevant than they already are.

Something has got to give.  This program has regressed.
