The Youngstown State women's basketball team will host Davis & Elkins in an exhibition game this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Beeghly Center. Admission to the contest is free.
Saturday's exhibition against the Senators will give fans their first opportunity to see the 2017-18 squad in action. The Penguins will return their top three scorers from last season in Alison Smolinski, Indiya Benjamin and Mary Dunn. Plus, they'll welcome back Sarah Cash and Nikki Arbanas, their top two scorers from two years ago who missed a combined 53 games last season due to injury.
Youngstown State's season opener will be on Nov. 10 at Pittsburgh. The Penguins' first game at Beeghly Center will be against Kent State on Nov. 14 at 5:15 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
