Bobby Grace Finishes Third at the Armory Collegiate Invitational

New York City-- Youngstown State senior Bobby Grace competed in the 141th annual Armory Collegiate Invitational at the New Balance Track and Field Center at the Armory this afternoon in New York City.

This meet hosts more than 100 universities and some of the nation's most outstanding programs such as Arkansas, Arizona, Mississippi State, BYU, North Carolina, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma along with some regional and international teams and athletes.

Grace was once again competing against some of the top throwers of the nation in the shot put today and launched a throw of 18.75 meters, which is his third best throw of the year to lock in third place. This third-place finish gives Bobby his fourth top three finish of the year.

He missed first place only by 0.82m which was Stephen Mozia from Cornell who had a throw of 19.57m. Grace will next compete in the SPIRE Division I Invitational on Feb. 14.

Teammate Connor Neu will be participating in the weight throw tomorrow at the Armory Collegiate Inviational while the rest of the Youngstown State track and field teams will finish up day two of the YSU National Invitational at the WATTS.
