Scalzo said it best in the Vindicator article. With just eight healthy players left, we have only one that is taller than 5'8"...Brandi Brown at 5'11"...maybe. Of the eight survivors, four are freshmen. Two have virtually no meaningful experience. We were up against a team last night that had two good guards and a legitimate post player. Given the dire circumstances, that might have been one of the best individual efforts that I have ever seen on a basketball court. And the other seven players on our team gave everything they had, every second they were on that court. I don't know how long we can sustain this without Flagg and Schlegel, but watching these women fight and claw and succeed against all odds is a great pleasure.
