In-Game Hiram
« on: December 08, 2012, 07:50:00 PM »
Halftime. How is this team even close? I mean we score 15 of the first 17 points on a D-III team. An they are able to battle the rest of the first-half? We are hitting nothing. Just like the BG game.

Probably not taking the opponent as serious as other teams we've already faced.

Eargle says it was mostly the rims, and that he played here in high-school and it all came back to him. Slocum said it was that and also the fact that Hiram had height.

We were 3 for 26 from behind the 3-point line :-\   All of those shots were unopposed.  Hiram stinks.  This was a classic example of playing down to the level of your competition.

On the positive side, that game drew at least twice what we would have drawn in Beeghly for such a terrible attraction.  I can tolerate this once a year, if they secure better competition.  Also, definitely should turn this into a doubleheader with the women's team next year.

You really don't need a "big time" foe which is probably unobtainable anyway.  Something like this would be reasonable and financially "doable."

Women play Ohio U. and the men play Buffalo.
