ET, your memory is accurate. Daily was Rice's assistant, and he replaced his fired boss. He passed away while in Toronto undergoing last-ditch experimental (and tragically unsuccessful) medical treatment.

Agree with your assertion that Stroia was the worst, with Robic a clear second.

Pride, I can't confirm this but rumor was that Peters was tired of battling Jim Tressel over athletic funding. Perhaps somebody else knows the full story.

Only two victories we have are to 0-6 and 0-7 teams. Unbelievable.  We are not good.  Lets hope this changes.

I just took a look at Milwaukee's stats to see how John Lovelace was doing. They are 5-2. Lovelace hasn't started any games & is averaging 18 mins.  He's avg 6.4 ppg, 3 rebounds, 80% from the FT line & 4-11 from 3. His best game this year was against Duquesne where he scored 11 points in their win.

I was also checking out his numbers and they're kind of like what he did here.  Still would love to have him in our rotation.

was thinking about the last two prior seasons and one thing that sticks out to me is that we brought in two strong low post players with D1 experience in  two consecutive seasons while this year we only have one in Nico Galette.

Last season we had DJ Burns and Ziggy Reid and the year before we had Adrian Nelson and Malik Green.  Probably need one more guy that's strong down in the paint unless Chris Carroll can fill that role. Chris has 0 D1 prior experience and he's struggled a little with his offense but he's rebounded well.  While I labeled these type as low post they were versatile enough to step outside and hit shots also.

I just assumed he would have started at Milwaukee, but yes his numbers appear to be the same.

And agree 100% on Burns, Reid, Nelson, and Green.  Those guys all had size, were strong, and other than Green could shoot 3's and that's all what we're lacking this year.

And while Dynes has put on 25 lbs, he's not staying out of foul trouble to help on the boards and isn't a threat from 3.

Still will probably lose him!  Can't teach 7-3!

Why?  He is foul prone and cannot handle the ball well always fumbling it.  Other than blocking he doesn't impress

You can work on the fouls, but 7' 3" is 7' 3".

Let’s be realistic. If he can play defense, block shots, handle the ball, shot the 3 ball, make 8 foot shots and not foul prone, he would be playing for Kentucky instead of YSU.
You can teach a 7’3”” to play like a 6’7”, but you can’t  make a 6’7” to be 7’3”.

You realize he has not gotten better at fouling he has gotten worse.  It is what I see.
