Tonight 6pm.  Should be a cake walk for our men's team. Bethany lower Div team that is not good either.  Chance for the offense to show us something.   If not then definitely a lower division team in the weak Horizon League.

Bethany is 5-1 and is averaging 98 ppg! Their lowest output is 80 in their 7-point loss to Waynesburg on Tuesday.

Last year in the first ever game between the two, YSU won 107-70.

I hope YSU can use this game to get their offense going and build some confidence.  If not, there's major problems. 

Is the Westminster game definitely not being rescheduled?  Oddly the Bethany-Westminster game on November 20 was ppd.  I couldn't find out why.

SHOULD be a tune up for us. Given their competition is no where the caliber we play.   Seems odd Westminster has had two games canceled now.   Idk about us rescheduling the game I haven't heard anything other than the coach of Westminster say it wasn't going to be.

So wd are playing Div 3 team at home. A disservice to players and fans.  Total joke game scheduled. Strollo should be ashamed of himself and the weak media should call him out.  This is a scrimmage period.

We will most likely struggle offensively again. Lay off the 3 pointers and take advantage of the speed we have.  Size other than Dynes fairly close.   I expect a good test. They shoot the 3 ball at a good clip something we don't.   So I am going into a game not knowing how it's going to turn out but just recent poor performance by us leads me to think this game will be closer than we want.  Sucks how our program in just 1 year has deteriorated.  We just suck at outside shooting period. So i expect a closer than anticipated game. It's there biggest game of year so why not.

Nice to see the 3 ball going in.  I know it's against Bethany but they were open shots like we had in other games.

Chris Carroll needs to look for his offense.  Showed some nice skills.  Was watching Zogrvol  and he looked like he was walking pretty good after the game.

Not a big fan of these games but agree that they are a good way to maybe get the guys in a groove. An open shot is an open shot.

It's been going on forever and it's not like YSU is the only one doing it. I think every school in the Horizon League does it, and it's not much different than the high majors playing low mid-majors for buy games.

With that said, you're allowed 4 and 2 is plenty.  YSU had to do more COVID year.  I've always liked the Westminster game.  I'd rather see YSU play a D11 like Slippery Rock, Clarion or Edinboro in the other game. 

They allow everyone to get playing time and I think the non D1 players enjoy playing on a bigger stage much like the mid-majors playing against the high majors.  And especially now with the portal changing teams so much an opportunity for guys to gel early in the season. I wish the Westminster game happened. It's also not easy to get home non-conference games against D1's.
