YSUGO I think your onto something. University has to do something to get butts in the seats. Something has to be done and done soon. Ysu basketball has good entertainment at half and promotes youth I don't even know what the football strategy is. What is the strategy besides playing same songs year after year on the speaker system. It caters to the old timers and not the youth which is our future.. your ideas Go are valid. Ps-the restroom need a serious remodel. They do and it way to dark in the restroom. Oh well I guess I'm venting.Don't even get me started on the bathrooms. They are absolutely disgusting. You can bet the administration, AD and coaches have never used them!
Seems that NDSU's head coach is leaving to be the linebackers coach at USC. Surprises me a bit, no doubt the money will be a big step up!
Agreed. True of most schools.What isn't a project on the roster? There are dozens of local players that have no business suiting up for YSU.
We usually have between 90 and 100 players on the roster in the spring. A significant portion of those are walk-ons. If you look at the players that actually got on the field this fall, very few were locals. And I suspect that very few full scholarships are awarded to local players, with the exception of key figures such as Brungard.

Springfield played 4 wide outs a lot because Brungard was qb and rb both. Not at 1aa for sure, but major threat to run o n every play.

Also big on RB Harris. Transfer TE Bray will be huge help (literally and figuratively) We'll score enough. (28 against Villanova). We just gave up too many. We lost most if defense but it wasn't worth keeping.

Just because I tell the truth, does not make me a crackhead. I imply feel we are not in the top-24 teams. In the MVFC alone we have SDSU, USD, NDSU, UND, UNI. Arguably I feel that SIU and ILS are also better than YSU. That is anywhere from 5-7 teams that would be ranked higher than YSU. Albany, Richmond, Villanova, Delaware and Elon (about the same really for Elon). In the Big Sky, there is no less than 4 teams superior to YSU. Now that is 14-16 right there. It looks like YSU would be in the top24, but just barely. Other teams I feel are better than YSU this year are ...Furman, Mercer, Chattanooga (WCU about the same as YSU), Gardner-Web, Samford and I am sure there are a few more that are our equals or better in 2023.Sometimes you make good sense but not here. Gardner Webb? CMon man! And GW beat Elon. Villanova thrashed Delaware worse than they did us. Comparible scores don't support your position. This blog has turned into a bunch of ysu haters. You guys make me tired.

Our odds are now equivalent to teams seeded #5 and #8I'm 100% in on stopping the negativity on Phillips. We have a loot coming back and Brungard is going to be better than Davidson as will Harris outshine King. We should be 2 games better next year.
Hopefully this gives people perspective on how far we've actually come since Pelini left the program in shambles.
People need to think again about hating on Phillips. We have a young team and a bright future (as long as we get a QB and fill some holes). Much more difficult to replace holes when it comesnto the OL.and DL. Hopefully we can go to the portal for some skill positions.

I like our chances to win the first two games to get to SDSUAgreed. We aren't going to beat SDSU. They beat us worse than the Buckeyes did, but it would be good if we could make it respectable at least. A couple wins would be great. We have a ton of returning starters and the experience would be great.
