I work at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and the Palumbo Center is similar to Beeghly (at Duquesne one side had really nice chairs while the other side had ugly bleachers). In 2010: "chair back seats were installed from top-to-bottom on the north side of the arena and treads, risers and chair backs on the lower level of the south side of the facility were replaced. In addition a custom designed center-hung Daktronics video board and four lower level corner scoreboards were installed. The renovation work changed the building's capacity from 5,358 to 4,406 for basketball." The cost was $1.8 million.
Would you want YSU to do something similar? Doing this would make Beeghly Center look much nicer but the seating capacity would be reduced. What do you think?
Go on Duquesne's website and look under facilities for a picture.
