Totally agreed YSUGO.   The success of the Horizon league will not help our recruiting.  Our poor record and last place finishes speak for themselves.  When a recruit sees film of us they see all those empty seats.
Getting beat out by Bethune-Cookman is a flat out joke.  The losing ways will roll on in 2011-12.

It would be a great move to get into the CAA if we get the chance.  Doesn't UMASS avg. way less in attendance than YSU?  Seems like the MAC is getting desperate.

But other schools contacted the coach and we didn't you fool.  Doesn't hurt to try no matter if he intended to go to S. Ill.or not.  That is called recruiting. It is spilled milk now.

Not the news we wanted to hear.  The article states YSU didn't contact his H.S. coach at all while the others did.  Makes you wonder.

ESPN website is reporting that Desmar Jackson (Harding) is leaving Wyoming.  He averaged about 15ppg. and has 2 years of eligibility left.  Does anyone know if he is interested in coming back and transfer to YSU?  This could be a big get for our program but he would have to sit out a year and take a chance that we may get a new coach after next year.

Maybe slocum plans on playing a guard at center.  Mind boggling to think we are concetrating on guards.  I'll stop so some of you don't think I am bashing slocum.

Ip,
I seem to get under your skin.  You must be related to slocum or just like losing.  By the way nobody employs me I run my own business of 200 employees that probably keeps you employed unless you work for ysu which I suspect you do.    I would like to see YSU win more than anyone.  Don't worry about grammer worry about YSU winning.

Strollo can now hire a few more Assistant AD's then spend more on the Swim team.

All of this publicity had gotten us ZERO committments.  Time well spent.

You can knock Nova all you want but all you experts know he hit it right on the head.  I work in Akron and noboby even knows we beat Butler.  We beat Butler but lost to Loyola by 30 at home and by 30 to Robert Morris on the road.  If you think Slocum does the best he can bringing in "frindge" talent then you must be on crack or smoking the wacky tobacco.   Our recruiting sucks because we lose 20 games a year every year period. Winning solves everything and not being a guest on some stupid talk show.   Shouldn't Slocum be out recruiting instead of being a Buter reality star.  Signing date is April 13th and little is known as too who we are recruiting other than the 5-9" kid from Akron who will get eaten alive in the Horizon league.  It is bad enough we cannot recruit Ohio but waste our recruiting budget on Juco's all over the country when Ohio and PA have plenty of talent.

We just tell it like it is.

Nova,
100% agreed.   Beating Butler will not get us better recruits.  We need big guys who can play and Slocums top prospect is a 5-9 guard from Akron SVSM.  What the hell is he thinking?
At least we can hope for 2011 Football to be better because b-ball at YSU is going nowhere.

Will extra money solve our problems?  As long as Strollo and Slocum are here we are a 10 win program at best.

You say I repeat the same thing over and over but you know I am correct.   Yens probably want to keep Strollo and Slocum because you must enjoy losing.  Open your eyes you fools!!!!!!
Don't start a thread that mentions a coaching change in our League when we need one if you don't want a reaction.  Let me sign off so I can enjoy watching this week the many Horizon League teams in a
post season tournament and only dream it could be us if we made a change and have fans that don't enjoy losing.

Later and piece out brothers.

Loyola has the balls to make a change yet we flounder in the basement each year.  Nice going Strollo!!!
