We will host a Tournament on Nov 17th to 19th
Teams are Niagara and Utah Tech.  Utah Tech was in the NIT TOURNAMENT.

Back in February it was announced and Def coordinator Jimmy Rodgers takes over at SDSU. 
Interesting.  Kept it in house his replacement

AD was selected to play in the Greater Columbus all star game against player from HBCU schools.   
More good publicity for the program.  Jelani Simmons is also playing in the Classic as well.
He transferred out of here for Southern Indiana and was a star at that school.  Just wanted to let everyone know and with AD good luck.  It was on the YSU Basketball main page.

I see YSU got a collective agreement for NIL from ServePro valued at $200k.  I hear more donations will be coming.  Good news for Men's basketball as it geared for men's basketball.  See what a good season will get you.
Maybe that is why Calhoun signed an extension.  Now we need donors for a newer Arena like now.

We averaged 3,100 fans a game.  When was the last time we had that?  Probably the 1980's under Mike Rice.
That being said it shows that the University needs to focus on basketball more now that we are on the map.
We lose a lot of seniors but do have Brandon Rush able to come back and most likely Lovelace,  Plus the portal in the works.   Plus we signed 3 high school player and a Juco.    Time too not take the foot off of the pedal until we get that Coveted NCAA Tournament berth.  Look at all of the upsets so far.   Half of Robert Morris team entered the portal and some of the league did but no one yet from YSU.  Lets keep our fingers crossed.  Go Guins!!!
I look forward to the 23-24 basketball season like no other.

Selections are Sunday night.  Does anyone know if we will have a home game?   I think they go off on fan support and attendance if i am not mistaken
