YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: QB Situation

What happened to Ricky Davis?  He has a year in the system and in the spring game looked like he could throw much better that Nania, is taller, and seems quick. Is he in the dog house?

Ricky Davis has much more upside than Dante Nania.

Really impressed with the tournament play.  The defense was outstanding for YSU; really impressed by Shane Willoughby at short and Phil Lapari at second.  Both made outstanding plays that were way beyond routine.  Only one error in the tournament by the left fielder.  Also the play in right field in the 8th in the last game was an aggressive play to win the tournament that just about backfired.  Looked like he was close to the catch.  Compare to the defensive play by the other teams and we really had an advantage.  Most of our scoring was aided by walks, hit batsmen, errors, and questionable plays.  Also the pitching during the season was really hurt by walks which were held to a minimum in the tournament except for the one bad inning against Milwaukee which was a typical occurrence during the season.  Also great to see Jeremy Quinlan do so well, being a local walk-on.  Lots of talent locally that maybe we can now attract from the "B" League.  Not sure if we pursued that local talent previously, but with the outstanding play of some of our local players, it can be helpful in the future.

Great Tournament play for sure.  The other teams did not hold up well at all under the pressure and in most of our wins than was a factor. YSU played like Champions in every sense of the word.  Congratulations to all the Players and Coaches for a job well done.

I agree.  Both Jim Tressel and Ron Strollo are top quality individuals who will do the best possible job with the limited resources available.  I do not believe we could get a better pair to do the best that is possible with YSU athletics considering the environment they are in at YSU.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: Ryan Weber Transferring

I agree that the loss of Weber is bad for us.  But I think it is a case of him being homesick and girlsick more than anything the current staff did or did not do.  It is unfortunate, but difficult to blame someone for his exit.

Unfortunately I have Sprint.  Also have an Android phone and can't seem to get the Horizon League broadcasts on the phone.   I thought they were limited to iPhones.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Computer to TV connection

Watch the games on the Horizon League site on the computer.  Is there an easy way to get the sound and video to a TV?

Seems like the lack of a big man really hurts.  Also watched on line and the announcers from Illinois Chicago new exactly what we were going to do during the end of game timeout with KP.  Must be very predictable at game end which may be hurting us.
