Naz should be playing DE for Bo...

Maybe he'll make the move this fall.

I feel bad for Carl if he was forced out at BG, but as a YSU fan I am happy to have him back.  Him leaving and McNutt's suspension cost the Guins 2 or 3 wins.

Mark Waid, QB from Girard also coming to YSU.

I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere.  Is that your opinion, or did you get that info from someone you deem to be a reliable source?

Shane Montgomery also out with the rest of the staff at Charlotte.

The assistants were retained until the new coach came on board.  He was supposed to meet with them today.  Shane could be retained, because the new guy wants to run the spread.

Heard a couple of those recruiting guys on the radio (maybe Ron Potesta's show) a few weeks ago, and they thought Waid was further along in his development than Jayden Cunningham was at the end of his senior year.

After the first few series, I'm hoping Bo lets the underclassmen play.

Over/under 500 people in the crowd ?
over, but not by much!

I was the only one from our group at the game, so in the first half as I was wandering through the stands watching the action, I also took an unofficial count of the crowd, and came up with 1,050 not including the band and the loges.

Good win for the seniors.  Would have liked to have seen Craycraft get some snaps.

The 3 biggest factors for dismal attendance are all in play tomorrow.
bad weather - temp around 30 with wind chill of 20
no playoffs - 3-6 record
OSU game - same start time and must win against Coach D

Mays took the majority of the snaps last week.  Does Craycraft get the majority this week?  I'd also like to see someone else get some reps at left tackle.

Any word on WR Zach Farrar playing in this game?

PenguinIce,

Is Farrar not playing because of his attitude or is he injured?

I would like to ask this question that's been on my mind for a long time. Does anyone think the high amount of transfers and Juco players Bo has brought in over the years affected his first three recruiting classes coming out of high school and the last one under Wolf? Don't get me wrong here some were definitely a necessity and big time gets. However this can create tensions, adversity and unity problems over the course of time by original recruits who thought they were going to be the guy. Some Juco and transfer players all have a story to tell some for the good and some for the bad..IMHO I think Bo has gone to the well one to many times..and certain players are not happy about it

Don't know if it's lead to tension on the team, but if you're going to bring in a QB (the most important position on the team) for 1 year, then that guy better be a difference maker and a considerable upgrade from what you have.  MVG has been neither.  He's a decent player, and probably could have had a good career at the FCS level had he transferred sooner.

He's the best QB on the roster.

That may be, but if you're going to upset the apple cart with a QB with only 1 year left then he needs to be a major upgrade to what you already have.

Let MVG get healthy for next week and play the other QBs.

Guins were 7-4 in 2012 when they beat Pitt, but only 20 teams made the playoffs that year.  Had it been 24, YSU probably would have been in.  8-4 in 2013, but finished the season with 3 straight losses, and the conference was not as highly regarded as it is now.  Only 2 MV teams made the playoffs that year.

Try contacting the Penguin Club Office at (330) 941-3720 or (330) 941-2351.  I believe they have some guests in the suite each week.
