YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: The Basketball Season Ticket Fraud

Wow.  This game could have been a great opportunity to increase the season ticket base by including it in the season ticket package, but instead they chose not to.  Hard to believe.

Anyone know if WBCB is picking up the broadcast?

Does anyone know who the fella was on the sidelines that was yelling at Bo after Bo got the 15 yard penalty?  He was dressed in YSU gear, but was not one of the coaches.

Who was the penalty actually on? Was it on Bo for sure, the "fella" or another coach?

Not exactly sure.  The TV announcers said YSU coaches were on the field.  I doubt the penalty was on the guy yelling at Bo, or Bo would have yelling at him.

Regardless of who the QB is, the O-line must play better than last week to have any chance of winning

I thought Mays played a good game, despite the kitties' d-line outplaying YSU's o-line.  Mays can thank his left tackle for the big hits he took on those last 2 sacks.  The D-end went right through him.

Given the QB situation, it makes me wonder again why Craycraft didn't get some of MVG's snaps in the final 3 games.

I think Mark Schuler graduated and he isn't playing anymore.

Thanks for the info.

I was reviewing the spring roster, and noticed that 3 special teams regulars were missing.  Anyone know if Dairus Hall, Curtis Parks and Mark Schuler are done for good, or just sitting out the spring?
I certainly don't have a clue about Hall and Schuler, but usually when they are not listed on the roster it means they are no longer involved in YSU football.  Schuler is really enthused about his engagement, but not sure what if anything that will mean about his football career.

Curtis Parks posted the following on Facebook which is something for us to be pleased and proud of:

Curtis Parks December 17, 2018: So yesterday I did something ..... I graduated from the Accredited Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University with Honors and was awarded the Senior Leadership Certificate by the accounting department and will be interning with a Big Four Accounting firm this upcoming January with hopes of obtaining a Full-Time offer upon completion of my Masters of Accountacy

I don't know if that means he'll be back as a master's student in the fall or not, but whatever is best for Curtis' career, I'm for!

Thanks for posting this.  Always good to hear about the athletes graduating.

No, he would be eligible.  If you play one sport for four years (without a redshirt) you can play a second sport for one more season.  About 15 years ago, we actually had a football player turn to basketball for his fifth season.  Don't remember the name.

You may be thinking of Brian Radakovich who played basketball and then one year of football.

I'm with you Fan.  I like the idea, but I hope it's not at the expense of the spring game.

Reed got his 6th year.

Would be great for Reed and the Guins if he can stay healthy this year.

Article about local recruits on Warren Tribune this morning.

Pelini has spoke highly of quarterback Joe Craycraft as well, a sophomore for YSU who has yet to throw a collegiate pass.

He can't be too high on him, or he would have gotten meaningful reps down the stretch instead of MVG.
