I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.  You just never know how these hires are going to go.  I thought for sure that Bo would be a slam dunk.  He won 9 or 10 games each of his 7 seasons at one of the top 20 programs in the country, and yet he went 18-22 in MV conference play while with the Guins.  He also oversaw one of the most embarrassing losses in YSU football history.  It will be interesting.  Maybe he'll bring back the spring game.

Yes.  CSU is in their heads.

I was also looking into D2 Notre Dame in the Cleveland area.  Their head coach Mike Jacobs was 42-8 there, but just took the Lenoir Rhyne job.

What the coach across the border At Slippery Rock. Last year 13-1 grew up at Massillon Jackson -Shawn Lutz

I must have been reading your mind before I came to the board.  I was on SRU's site checking out his record there.
2016  7-4
2017  8-3
2018 11-3
2019 13-1

Need to put Carl back to DC and fire at least two of these three, D'Alesio, Baker and Gomes.

How did this guy end up at YSU?  After watching his highlights he is clearly the starter week 1.

The FBS schools wouldn't guarantee him a chance to compete at QB, but YSU did.  Similar to how Lynn Bowden almost ended up here.

I was afraid of that when I looked at the box score last night and noticed she only played 12 minutes.  Is Wagner also hurt?

Chikwe, a rebounding machine, is still suffering from the effects of a concussion and is unlikely to play again.  Backup center, VanZanten, broke a bone in her foot in late November with a 6-8 week expected recovery timetable.  The big loss is all-conference center, Dunn, who had knee surgery after also going down in late November.  Supposedly, she is the nearest to returning.  However, the way Dunn and VanZanten are still walking around the gym with slight limps, I have my doubts either will be able to run the court anytime soon.
Thanks for the update

Are any of the 6 footers expected to return this season?

Hopefully some folks come out to see Mark Waid play, but I'm putting the over/under at 1000 butts in seats.  Too many factors working against them.

temp around 40 and chance of rain
no playoffs
undefeated OSU vs 1 loss PSU

They can't afford to buy out Bo, but hopefully they lean on him to make some changes to the staff.  Need to put Carl back to DC and fire at least two of these three, D'Alesio, Baker and Gomes.  Too bad they had to get rid of McNutt.  Secondary was definitely better under him

Dana Balash said YSU will not play South Dakota and Illinois State the next 2 seasons.

Stinks that his senior season had to end that way.  Hope he recovers fine, and can move on to the next stage of his life.  Good hard-nosed player.

Don't get blown out Saturday, win the last 3, and they'll have a chance to make the playoffs.  4 or 5 MVFC teams will probably make the playoffs, if they have a record of at least 8-4.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: The Basketball Season Ticket Fraud
« on: October 29, 2019, 07:36:05 PM »
I didn't mean to infer that season tickets holders get the game for free, but rather use the game as a marketing tool to increase season ticket sales.  Give season ticket holders a discount on that game, or first dibs on seat selection.  There had to be some way they could have used this game to increase their season ticket sales.
